We have been working with Mile End Community Project on a two day series of writing, listening and storytelling session with members across the community, exploring narratives of belonging, home, safety and conflict.

The final audio piece – on Sound Cloud to listen to here  – was part of an event on July 21st, and used as tool to generate further conversations and future relationships and ideas beyond this pilot stage. Our R+D ends this month and we will be evaluating and looking at what’s next based on all the work with narrative we have done since January.

In May / June,  Alinah Azadeh was testing out narratives with audiences in London at INIVA and at Fernandez and Wells, Somerset House supported by The Culture Capital Exchange and has recently  performed more new material at Touchstones, Rochdale part of Tall Tales, a touring show showcasing international work by 17 women artists working with narrative, across three UK cities.

Please also see Alinah’s Blast Theory residency project blog on AN, Through A Wall the former title of this project, for further updates.
